Description
The Flora and Fauna series is a sadly dwindling range of whiskies produced by Diageo to celebrate their distilleries best known for producing? whisky for their blends.? Each it bottled with an illustration of an animal on the bottle.
Inchgower whisky when compared to inland Speyside malts is cleaner, more assertive, less elegant perhaps, dry and fruity, with a crisp, salty tang, that reflects its coastal upbringing.
Nose: Quite light and delicate. There is a zesty tang with notes of sugary citrus, hints of grass. Tones of blossom and apple peel with cocoa.
Palate: Fresh with hay and petals, notes of arak and well-balanced tannins. There are some spicy notes with crystallised stem ginger.
Finish: Medium length with spice and a tangy citrus note.
