Filey Bay Moscatel Finish 70cl 46%
This is the first cask finished release from The Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery's Filey Bay range. Following an initial maturation in bourbon casks, it is then finished in Spanish hogsheads which were previously used for Moscatel. Just 6,000 bottles were released.
Tasting Note
Nose: Brown sugar, ripe tropical fruit, with tinned pineapple and nectarine, leads to white pepper and orange peel.
Palate: Candied orange, muscovado, with baking spices, cocoa and crisp apple, with a hit of ginger.
Finish: Dried banana, cooked pineapple, and toasty oak spice.
